Teurastamo is a nice urban place to hang during summer days. This loft area used to be a slaughterhouse and that's what Teurastamo means in Finnish. Sounds spooky, but once you enter the area, you don't even remember that it has had something to do with ending lives. Now it feels like it's a place where life begins.

 

Here you'll find the best bar in Helsinki - B-Side Bar where usually DJ is playing mellow house music and drinking Blue Ribbon feels just right. Also there's a public grill place open to everyone, lot's of restaurants like Ravintola Palema which menu respects the area's history and serves traditional worker meals. Jädelino is the place for Italian artisan ice cream and coffee and
