After parties are something to experience

 

For strick alcohol law, clubs can be open until 4 am. It's the time your drunk level might be in it's best and you're not willing to go bed yet. That's when you head to after parties!

 

Save some drinks for later as bars and clubs close too early. Do you wanna go to sleep when you are haveing so much fun? Don't worry, there's always an after party somewhere. After party culture is strong in Helsinki and in hood like Kallio you just have to learn live with the idea that your neighbor might have after party. You can complain, but it will still keep on going. For person who doesn't know how to live with noise is Kallio is not the best place.

During summer people have less after parties at their home. Oh, and you might think now what is an after party? It's a party at one's home where a bunch of people goes. During summer there are after party places outdoors, like at the park or my favorite: mattolaituri - a place for washing carpets. There are plenty of these spots but the best one is in next to Merihaka. That's where you'll meet new people too because it's pretty popular spot among people who go for a party at Kallio. Also when it's warm night, people go for a swim because mattolaituri is a perfect spot to jump to the sea.

If you want to keep on going, bars open at 9 am - or markets start selling alcohol. Just grab some more of this gasoline and keep on going. This might sound rough but that's how we party in Helsinki. Helsinkians are good at partying. And have high tolerance for alcohol, remember also that!
