Mustikkamaa means blueberry land. Though there are no that much bilberries around!

 

Mustikkamaa is a great place to go for sunbathing during summers. You'll find public beach and nice and peaceful spots. Also there's a summer teatre as well as adventure park Korkee which is fun place to go with kids as well as an adult.

 

Late-summer you can eat wild raspberries as well as there's an eatable garden - Syötävä puisto, where you can go and experience planted goods. You can also join the team once a week and earn some of what there has been planted! 

 

Also the rocks are good place for fishing. Or if you like jogging - this is the place!

Now there's an easier access to this island from Kalasatama: new bridge - Isoisänsilta - opened in 2016.

The best part with Mustikkamaa is definitely that you are in the city, but you can't hear any sound from cars when you're at the southern side of the island. Go and notice!
