We have wonderful fishes, basically. Salmon has become fishes' chicken, so why not get to know some new tasty fishes. From the land you can catch many different fishes with fishing rod. With fishing rod the good part is that you wont need fishing persmission. With spinning rod you'll need to have a fishing license. 

 

For example during Spring it's time to catch white fish. Best place for this is in the rocks of Lauttasaari, Vuosaari and Mustikkamaa. Sure other places are good for this too but people are keeping their fishing places secret. Some of my friends take a boat and go to the islands of Helsinki, returning with 15 white fish with them. There's also season for catching white fish around November.

Fishing is a nice and relaxing hobby. And urban city fishing? Helsinki is the place for that! And it's a year around hobby!
