Forest heals

Walking on a soft ground, breathing fresh air, listening how the soft wind makes trees rustle. In Finland we're lucky to have so much forest. Even in Helsinki you'll find lot's of forest to take a hike. Keskuspuisto - central park in Helsinki - is a 10 kilometre area starting from Taka-Töölö. If you want to enjoy the sea as well, then you should head to Vuosaari where you'll find Uutela.

Walking in forests helps lower stress and now there has been news around that it could help also lower blood pressure. There are lot's of psychological effects like as walking in forest feels kind of endless, so you'll easily forget things that have been pushing your mind. Also all those smells created by different plants and trees. And different colours from bright to deep dark green. All these combinet make you relaxed.

Best treatment for depression.

And this doesn't mean you should go to forest everyday, only 5 minutes a month is enough. But you'll want to go more often. And once you discover all the mushrooms and berries... you can't stop.
