A little bit of party never killed anyone, right? You should also dive in to club scenery in Helsinki. It's not a joke that everybody's starting to be a DJ in Helsinki. And this is not a bad thing at all. This tells that the club scenery is alive and working! Past five years have been a huge trend to move to Berlin. (Yes, I did it also!). Or visit Berlin - one of the Worlds techno capital. Finnish young adults have returned back home with a new understanding what it is to go to club. So the club owners have noticed this in Helsinki and started to offer people what they want. And it's not heavy metal anymore. Forget that. That trend is gone. Go to Norway if you're looking for that.

Every weekend there's some great DJ* performing somewhere and actually to be honest: mostly this happens in Kaiku or Ääniwalli. I would prefer Ääniwalli as Kaiku is also a place where people got to get to smashington. To Ääniwalli people often go for the music. This might be basically because of the location: Kaiku is in downtown Kallio, when Ääniwalli is located a bit side, in Vallila.

Sundays there's club after party at Stidilä. The thing with this party is that they stop selling alcohol at 4 am due the law, but the party continues until 6 am. Monday morning. This kind of after party that isn't a underground party is brand new concept in Helsinki.

And there's no doorpolicy in Helsinki: anyone can get in. Sometimes you can really feel that...

(*=By great DJ I mean e.g. Robert Hood, Marcel Dettmann, Ame, Rrose, Mike Dehnert, Fatima Yamaha. So nothing to do with David Guetta or Skrillex. Forget those.)
