When we Helsinkians were young, we would travel all the way to Seinäjoki or Joensuu for music festivals. There just were none in Helsinki. Or there was one in Vantaa, but it wasn't much worth visiting. Now, things have changed and city music festival is something to experience in Helsinki!
Flow festival 12.-14.8.
This is one of the best festivals in Finland. Not only because of it's artist line up but visually it's an acid trip (but not the psy-trance way). The atmosphere is also warm, because this is where everyone meet each other about the last time before long winter. Nowadays it has also upgradet with food selection and this festival can be also a culinary experience. So perfect package - huh? Oh, and I should mention that there's also a Resdent Advisor tent, so some bum bum bum is promiced too! Note that Flow festival has become extremely popular and it's also way too crowded..!

Sideways 17.-18.6.
A brand new music festival which was a boom! Specialized more in artist that Flow just wouldn't dare to bring Finland, just like Jesus and Mary Chain and PJ Harvey. Sideways is also organized on June, so it's a nice way to start the summer!

VISIO festival 1.-2.7.
After electronic music scenery has almost become mainstream in Helsinki, it's not a surprise that there's now a music fetsival specialized in house, minimal and techno and artists are local as well as international. This festival was kept for the firts time in Summer 2016 but it wasn't a success.
