Don't let the subject lead you to wrong thoughts. This huge building used to be the first psychiatric hospital in Finland and one of the oldest in Europe, built in 1841. It was closed in 2008 and after that the building has stood in this great spot with no use.

In 2016 the building was announced to be used for arts, culture and mental health. So in a way yes, let the topic lead you to thoughts about mental health. Arts and culture are important things for people to keep their mental health in balance and gladly City of Helsinki supports this movement. And so people are happy and the space has been welcomed with warmth.
